Waterbury- Mr. Algimantas P. "Al" Brazdzionis, 51, died Monday, April 7, at his home. He was the beloved husband of Paula (Clement) Brazdzionis. Al was born January 2, 1963 in Waterbury, son of Algis Bernardas Brazdzionis of Waterbury and Jadvyga (Vasilaitis) Brazdzionis of Waterbury. Raised in Waterbury he attended local schools and was a graduate of Wilby High School, class of 1981. Following high school Al had served honorably in the United States Navy and received the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Navy Expeditionary Medal and the First Good Conduct Medal. Al had been employed at UPS for 27 years, most recently in management. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting with his dogs, Sage, Jerome and Thyme, fishing, hiking camping, grilling, was a member of NAVHDA and enjoyed NASCAR. He was extremely proud of his Lithuanian heritage and most especially of his late grandfather Bernardas, who was a noted novelist. He will be remembered as a respectful man who loved his family above all else. In addition to his wife of 27 years and his parents he is survived by his son, Steven P. Brazdzionis of Waterbury; his daughters, Stephanie L. Brazdzionis and Julia D. Brazdzionis both of Waterbury; his sisters, Zibute Osgood of Ohio and Ginta Fuller of Illinois and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his extended Clement family. He was predeceased by his brother, Vilius B. Brazdzionis. "I love you forever Al, and miss you" (Wife) Paula Brazdzionis. Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 11, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday morning at 10:00 A.M. at the Shrine of St. Anne in Waterbury. Burial with military honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers there will be a Algimantas Brazdzionis Memorial Fund for his daughter Julias college education at Webster Bank.
