Waterbury - Alan William Velez, Sr., 48, passed away on Saturday, April 23, at Yale New Haven Hospital. Alan was born December 21, 1967 in Waterbury, son of Nelson Edwin Velez, Sr. of Waterbury and the late Gloria M. (Correa) Velez. In addition to his father he is survived by two sons, Alan William Velez, Jr. and his fianc Brianna Liz Ortiz of Waterbury and Nelson Velez of Waterbury; one daughter, Kailey J. Velez of Waterbury; two brothers, Nelson Edwin Velez, Jr. of SC and Robert Velez, Sr. of Waterbury; two sisters, Deborah A. Velez and Lisette Ibraimov, both of Waterbury and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his brother, Daniel Velez. Arrangements: Friends may call at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott, on Thursday, April 28, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 P.M. Burial will be private.
