Mrs. Monique M. Desrochers WOLCOTT- Mrs. Monique M. Desrochers, 85, passed away on December 9, 2013 at her home. She was the widow of Marcel Desrochers. Monique was born on October 6, 1928 in St. Joseph, Canada to the late Valere and Augustine Gilbert. She worked for many years at U.S. Time and then The Farm Shop up until her retirement. She enjoyed reading and making a home for her family as they were most important to her. Monique was a member at St. Pius X Church. She is survived by her loving children, Susan Schiavone and her husband Gene of Florida, Carol Gandarillas and her husband Charles of Wolcott, Daniel Desrochers and his wife Pam of Georgia, grandchildren, Kim Whitson, Kristine Brasher, Kurt and Keith Gandarillas, Kyle and Kaitlyn Desrochers, great grandchildren, Emma and Matthew Whitson, Hailey and Cody Gandarillas, sisters, Rita Gagnier of Middlebury, Martha Langton of New York, Donald Gilbert of Wolcott, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Lorraine Pelletier. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4-7pm at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 10am at Woodtick Memorial. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Pius X Church at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
