MILDRED G. MITCHELL CRAFTED MISSION ROSARIES WOLCOTT ~ Mildred (Galiada) Mitchell, 90, of Wolcott passed away peacefully on July 13th at her home. She was the wife of Francis Mitchell. Mrs. Mitchell was born January 20, 1919 in New Britain, daughter of the late Frederick B. and Edith (Klitka) Galiada. She was a member of St. Pius X Church and served as past president of the Holy Rosary Society and the Ladies Guild. For many years, she crafted rosary beads for the missions. Besides her husband of 66 years, she leaves her sons, Peter Mitchell of Wolcott, Thomas Mitchell and his wife, Barbara of Schenectady, NY, Stephen Mitchell and his wife Maureen, of San Bruno, CA, and Fred Mitchell and his wife, Donna of Riverside, IL, her daughter, Suzanne Pinard and her husband Allan of Thomaston, her daughter-in-law, Evinda Kasper of Middlebury, 11 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Robert. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 18th at 10 am at St. Pius X Church, 525 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Friends are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Woodtick Cemetery. Visitation hours will be held on Friday evening from 5 to 8 pm. Memorial gifts may be made to the Holy Rosary Society of St. Pius X Church, 525 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott.
