Waterbury - Michael Maldonado, 23, of Waterbury passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 17, 2015. Michael was born on January 9, 1992 in Nassau County, New York, son of Carlos W. and Gladys Maldonado. Michael loved playing video games, going to the gym with his brother Nelson, watching movies, and spending time with his family and friends. Michael was a hard worker and was loved and respected by all of his fellow employees. Besides his parents, Michael is survived by his six brothers and sisters, Marie Lawrence and her husband Eric, Nelson, Carlos, Juan, Jeny, and Johnathon Maldonado; nieces and nephews; his paternal grandparents, Aida and Wilfredo Maldonado; maternal grandmother, Ada Altuz; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at 6:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
