WATERBURY ~ Mary (Mukosey) Renkun, 91, of Waterbury passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Aurora Senior Living.
Mary was born September 21, 1920 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Peter and Natalia (Lapka) Mukosey. She was a graduate of Wilby High School where she was fondly called "Jean Harlow". Mary retired from Prudential Insurance in 1972. She had also been employed at Scovill Mfg. and Kramer Insurance. At her residence at Aurora Senior Living, she was known as "Marilyn Monroe. Mary enjoyed reading, knitting, swimming, a good game of cards and watching TV game shows.
She leaves her children, Richard Renkun and his wife, Eleanor of Wolcott, Cindy Rossi Evans of Wolcott, her grandchildren, Joseph Rocco Rossi III and his wife Jacqueline of Wolcott, her granddaughter, Virginia Rossi of FL, her great grandchildren, Nico and Chase of FL, Alicia, Christina, Stephanie and Joey Rossi of Wolcott, her nieces, Leslie Jones, Kathy Giancarli and Marianne Godburn. She was predeceased by her siblings, Alex Mukosey and sister-in-law, Mary, Antoinette (Nina) Davis and brother-in-law, Louis and Anne Prester.
