Mary N. Mencio Devoted Mother Waterbury- Mary N. (Gogan) Mencio, 85, of Waterbury, passed away Wednesday, April 12th, at Wolcott View Manor Health and RehabilitationCenter in Wolcott. She was the beloved widow of Arthur R. Mencio. Mary was born September 28th, 1924 in AlbanyNew York, daughter of the late Mary (Brodrick) Gogan. Raised and educated in Naugatuck, Mary moved in 1952 making her home in Waterbury. A devoted homemaker, she was also employed at Eltons Hotel, Frenchs Tube Co. and the Wheeler Wire Co. She leaves her sons Arthur R. Mencio Jr., and his wife, Catherine, of Wolcott, Donald E. Mencio, and his wife, Jana, of Watertown; her sister Lorraine Corey of Waterbury; her grandchildren Ryan, Drew, Shanna and TY Mencio; and a great-granddaughter Taliyah Marie Mencio. She was predeceased by her brother, Howard Gogan, and her nephew Ronald Corey. The Mencio family would like to thank the nursing staff at Wolcott View Manor Health and RehabilitationCenter, and St. Marys Hospital for the exceptional care they have shown Mary during her illness.
