Mary Lou Keefe MIDDLEBURY- Mary Lou Keefe, of Middlebury passed away on May 16, 2013 at St. Marys Hospital while surrounded by her family. Mary Lou was born March 8, 1935 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Joseph S. and Rose Anne (Caouette) Keefe. She was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High. Mary Lou worked for many years at Chase Brass Copper Co. and then Anamet Industrial from where she retired. She was a volunteer at the Middelbury Library and a member of and a reader at Saint John of the Cross Church. Mary Lou was an assistant treasurer at A.M.H.E.F. Credit Union. She is survived by her siblings, Alice Bertola and her husband Andrew of Beacon Falls, Sister Maureen Keefe RSM of Hartford, Daniel Keefe and his wife Ellen of Litchfield, brother-in-law Roland Viets of Thomaston, nieces and nephews, Maureen Laplante and her husband John of Thomaston, Paul Viets of Enfield, Brian Viets and his wife Sharon of Harwinton, David Viets and his wife Debbie of New Hartford, Sarah Pizzoferrato and her husband Michael of Burlington, Diane Viets of New London, Megan Keefe-Sexton and her husband Paul of Durham, NC and nine great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Joan Viets and a brother, Joseph Keefe. Funeral will be held on Monday from Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott at 10:15am to arrive at St. John of the Cross in Middlebury for a Mass at 11am. Friends and family are asked to gather between 8:30 and 9:30.
