Mark Finke, 70, of Wolcott, CT and Parrish, FL, passed away on September 2, 2025. He was born on May 23, 1955, in Waterbury, son of the late Joseph Finke and Bernice (Woodruff) Finke.

Mark was the devoted husband of the love of his life, Kathy (Briere) Finke. Together they raised three children, Gary (Jennifer) Finke of Wolcott, Bryan (Laurie) Finke of Cheshire, and Sara (Bobby) Wall of Parrish, FL. He was the proud grandfather of Joseph, Megan, Joshua, Andie, Eva, Sophie, and Lucas.

He is also survived by his mother-in-law Marge Briere; his brothers Randy (Lori) and Scott (Darlene) Finke; sister-in-law Lisa Ferrucci; brothers-in-law Michael (Rene) Briere and Rick (Sandy) Briere; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was predeceased by his father-in-law, Real Briere.

Mark worked at the Waterbury Republican-American, and as a software engineer at The Hartford. Reserved by nature and deeply humble, he built lasting bonds with those around him and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Mark enjoyed photography, especially of his family and the outdoors, playing guitar, golf, and pickleball, and had a lifelong curiosity for new gadgets and technology. Above all, he treasured time with his family, supporting them in every way.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, September 6th beginning at 11 AM at St Basil the Great Parish/St. Pius Church 517 Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott with a celebration of life to follow at the Wolcott Co. 2 Fire House Pavilion.
