Wolcott - Mrs. Marie W. (Weiler) Trerice, 90, of Wolcott, passed away on December 22, 2015 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of Mr. Robert J. Trerice. Marie was born on November 21, 1925 in East Haven, daughter of the late Otto F. and Frances (Koenig) Weiler. Marie has been a resident of Wolcott for 54 years, moving there with her late husband in 1961. She worked as an Occupational Therapist at the Southmayd Home in Waterbury for 10 years; and later for the former Prospect Restorative Center, a title she held until her retirement after many years of service. She was a former Girl Scout Leader of Wolcott Cadet Troop 343, former CYO Advisor at St. Margaret Parish, past Recording Secretary of the Wolcott Historical Society, and a very active member of the Wolcott Senior Center. Marie loved tending her gardens, and traveling in the US and Europe with her husband. Marie is survived by her three children, retired Lt. of the Waterbury Fire Dept., Robert Paul Trerice and his wife Luci, of Waterbury, Linda Pearson and her husband Michael, and Patricia Stanco and her husband Richard, both of Wolcott; six grandsons, Jason Pearson and his wife Pamela, Jonathon Pearson and his wife Jennifer, Joshua Pearson and his fianc Michelle, Brian Stanco, Rob Stanco, and Robert Trerice; six great-granddaughters; 2 great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Otto Weiler. Family and friends may call on Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. A funeral service will be held on Monday, Dec. 28 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.
