Wolcott - Mrs. Marguerite "Marge" (Lafreniere) Loranger, 88, of Wolcott, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Apple Rehab in Middletown. She was the widow of Mr. Paul Loranger, Sr. Marguerite was born on February 16, 1926 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (LaChance) Lafreniere. She enjoyed duckpin bowling, playing cards and spending time with family and friends. She will be remembered as a loving and supportive mother who cared deeply for her children and grandchildren. She was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Maria Goretti Church in Wolcott. Marguerite is survived by her seven children, Paul Loranger Jr. and his wife Casey, Dorothy Carpenter and her husband David, Roland Loranger and his wife Eileen, Elaine Bell, Eileen Albert and her husband Joe, Mark Loranger and his wife Susan, and Barbara Smith; 12 grandchildren, Tracey, Mark, Cindy, Roland Jr., Melissa, Raymond, Christine, Stephanie, Samuel, Alexander, Benjamin, and Donovan; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Anita Champagne; a brother, Richard St. Denis; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff on the North Unit at Apple Rehab in Middletown for their exceptional loving care shown to Marguerite. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 3, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Maria Goretti Church, 1300 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Thursday, October 2 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott.
