WOLCOTT- Mrs. Margaret "Maggie" (Kramer) Sauvageau passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 4, 2024, in Plainville. She was the devoted wife of the late Walter Sauvageau.
Born in Cheshire on April 22, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Ewald and Elizabeth (Kiely) Kramer. She married the love of her life, Walter Sauvageau, at the age of 19. In 1957, they moved into their home in Wolcott that her father built for them. Margaret retired from the Bristol Company where she worked for over forty years. An avid fan of UCONN womens basketball, Margaret also loved flowers, gardening and baking. One of her favorite past times was traveling with her best friend, the late Lucille Mariano. Their most memorable trip was to Ireland.
Margaret leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters Susan Sauvageau, with whom she resided, and Debra and her husband Michael MacDonald, and her beloved granddaughter Erin MacDonald. In addition to her husband, Margaret was predeceased by her three sisters, Dorothy Cadotte, Eleanor Wester, and Delores Mazzetti.
Margarets family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers: Patricia, Maritza, Kathy, and especially Nancy.
Calling Hours will be Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 5 to 7 PM at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott. Graveside Services will be on FRIDAY, August 9, 2024 at 11 AM in New Pine Grove Cemetery.
