Wolcott ~ Margaret A. (Traver) Rinkavage, 76, of Wolcott, passed away on January 3, 2012 while surrounded by her family at St. Marys Hospital.
Margaret was born on August 19, 1935 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Frank and Ethel (Thompson) Traver. She grew up in Waterbury and attended Wilby High School. Worked for many years at Burndy Inc. and Margaret was a communicant of the Christ Episcopal Church of Waterbury. In her younger years she loved to knit for her children. Most recently she enjoyed spending time with her family as she was a very compassionate mother and grandmother. Margaret loved to go out to eat with her sisters, watched old western movies, and passed the time playing cards and bingo.
She leaves her children, Roxann Falstreau and her husband Matt of Whitsett, NC, Paula Latte and her husband John of Newtown, David Rinkavage and his wife Joan of Wallingford, Steven Rinkavage and his wife Dawn of Kernersville, NC, Phillip Rinkavage and his wife Kim of Terryville, twelve grandchildren, Steven, Daryl, Randilee, Erin, Katie, Nikki, Evan, Megan, Cole, Sarah, Zackary, Jake, four great grandchildren, Xoey, Ethan, Liam, Makayla, her sisters, Elaine Taggett of Waterbury, Dolores Rinkavage of Deltona, FL and many nephews and nieces. Margaret was predeceased by her sisters, Jean Polletta, Mildred Rivard, Barbara Traver, and her brothers, Earl and Edward Traver.
Calling hours will be held at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott, on Saturday, January 7, from 3:00-6:00 pm. A service time will be announced at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
