WOLCOTT - Margaret "Peggy" (Johnston) Brick, 76, of Wolcott passed away on Friday, August 2, 2013 at her home. She was the widow of P. John Brick, Sr. Peggy was born July 18, 1937 in Waterbury, daughter of the late James and Kathleen (Brown) Johnston. She retired in 2011 from the Town of Wolcott where she served as secretary for the Building Department for over 26 years. Peggy attended St. Pius X Church and was a former member of the Ladies Guild. Peggy enjoyed getting together with her sisters for a weekly movie. She was an outstanding cook and enjoyed a variety of crafts, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Peggy leaves her children, John Brick, Jr. of East Hartford, Mary Morrone and her husband, Brett of Wolcott, and Margaret "Missy" Byron of Wolcott, her siblings, Robert Johnston of FL, Richard Johnston of Watertown, Gerald Johnston of Waterbury, Sandra Bartolini of Waterbury, Carol Johnston of Wolcott, Judith Johnston of Waterbury, Michael Johnston of Waterbury and Marian Huckins of Waterbury, her grandchildren, Brett Morrone, Jr., Jennifer Morrone, Justin and Sara Byron, and Chloe Brick, two great grandchildren, Paige and Colton Morrone and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Laurie and siblings, James Johnston and Bonnie Lamontini. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9 am from Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott to St. Pius X Church for a funeral mass at 10, followed by burial in Edgewood Cemetery.
