Wolcott - Marcellous T. (Marshall) Zimmerman, of Badger Rd. passed unexpectedly on October 25, at St. Marys Hospital. Marcellous was born in North Carolina on April 13, 1942 to the late Willie (Tyson) and Willie Marshall. She worked for 26 years at Southbury Training School as a coach for the disabled before her retirement. Marcellous was the widow of James Zimmerman Sr. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt and friend anyone could ask for. Often she would reflect upon her love to sing as a child in the choir, and the love she had for her family. Marcellous showed it by cooking and baking the best meals and holding them near to her. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Zimmerman of Wolcott, James and his wife Tina Zimmerman of Naugatuck, a daughter, Tonya Zimmerman of Wolcott, brother Sherman and his wife Lydia Marshall of North Carolina, eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Jean Marshall. A Celebration of Life service was held at Woodtick Memorial in Wolcott. All services were private.
