LUIS VIRGILIO RODRIGUEZ, SR.
WATERBURY ~ Luis Virgilio Rodriguez, Sr., 86 of Waterbury passed away on Wednesday, November 25th at Paradigm Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of Liduvina (Aguirre) Rodriguez.
Mr. Rodriguez was born July 23, 1923 in Ponce, P.R., son of the late Luis and Adelina Rodriguez. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during WWII. He was a graduate of the Spanish American Theology School in NY, and devoted his life to ministering to many who followed in his Christian footsteps. He was a member of Iglesias Christiana Casa del Perdon.
Besides his wife of 67 years, he leaves his sons, Roberto, Sr. of Waterbury, Nathaniel and Ivan of New York City, and David of N. Miami Beach, Fl, his daughters, Naomi of New York City, and Deborah of Queens, NY, his brother, Pablo of Bronx NY, his sisters, Francisa, Ana, and Rita of P.R., and Adeleida of PA, several grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He was predeceased by his son, Virgilio Rodriquez, Jr.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, November 29th at 5 pm at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Calling hours will be held from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home on Monday at 11 am for a funeral service and proceed to New Pine Grove Cemetery for burial and military honors.
Donations will be accepted by the family.
