Louis M. Lembo, 74, of Waterbury, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at VITAS Inpatient Hospice Unit at St. Marys Hospital, after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loved ones and good friends. He was the loving husband of Mary Beth (Peterson) Lembo.
Louis was born February 8, 1942, in Waterbury, son of the late Michael and Virginia (Morresi) Lembo. Louis attended local schools and was employed as a plater at Waterbury Companies until his retirement.
Louis enjoyed his artwork and woodworking. He enjoyed talking politics and religion with his friends and family. He also wrote many editorials in the Waterbury paper. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending family gatherings.
Besides his wife, Mary Beth, of 45 years, he is survived by his daughter, Susan Lister, and her husband, Steve, of Wolcott; his son, Stephen Lembo, and his wife, Melissa, of Waterbury; his sister, Grace Petruzzi, of Waterbury; his brother, Ranaudo, of Southbury; his 6 grandchildren, Nicole and Ashley Guerrera, Shane Lister, Steve, Arihanna, and Jake Lembo, and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Monday, May 16, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road, Wolcott. A Funeral Mass will follow at St. Pius X Church, 525 Woodtick Road, Wolcott, at 12 p.m. Burial will be private.
