Wolcott - Mrs. Lorraine (Plourde) Iarrapino, 86, of Wolcott, passed away on Friday, January 13,2017 at Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford. She was the widow of Mr. Morris Iarrapino. Lorraine was born on February 20, 1930 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (Guimond) Plourde. Lorraine attended local schools and was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High. Lorraine drove a school bus for the town of Wolcott for a number of years before her retirement and was a longtime and active member at St. Pius X Church. Lorraine babysat her grandchildren and cherished the time she was able to spend with them. Lorraine is survived by her beloved daughter Lorraine B. Iarrapino; her son in law Dave Stafford; three grandchildren, Benjamin, Christian, and Olivia; two sisters, Rita Perreault, and Jacqueline Hellyar; her wonderful niece, Shirley Ciampi, and several other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her four brothers and sisters, Irving Plourde, Jeannie Ciullo, Robert Plourde, and Julie Chouinard. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 19, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Pius X Church, 525 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in Woodtick Cemetery.
