Lita Hooley, 79, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015, surrounded by family, at VITAS Innovative Hospice Care Unit at St. Marys Hospital. She was the only child of Jacob and Henrietta (Strauss) Queen. Lita was born in Yonkers, New York on June 24, 1935, and most recently resided in Wolcott, CT. She was an assistant to the project managers at Caldwell & Walsh, in Ridgefield, CT for many years. Lita also loved playing cards and enjoyed trips to the casino. Lita is survived by her son, David Oksenkrug, of New Haven; her daughter, Shari (Oksenkrug) Brown, of Wolcott; her grandchildren, Michael and Kristopher Chiappalone, Samantha (Chiappalone) Santelli, Adam and Hillary Brown, and Joshua Oksenkrug. She was predeceased by her daughter Carla Chiappalone, and her grandson Alexander Chiappalone. A Celebration of Life will be held for Lita at East Street Eatery, 141 East St., Wolcott, from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, March 29.
