She was born on October 25, 1923, in Waterbury, daughter of the late Modesto and Vittoria Perugini. From the time she was in her teens, Linda worked for her husband, owner of the Immaculate Cleaners on Mill Street in Waterbury as seamstress, bookkeeper, and business manager. She was a beautiful woman, a gifted artisan, a keen businesswoman, and a loving wife and mother. Linda enriched the lives of those around her. Linda was a gracious lady who accompanied her husband who dedicated his life to community service organizations nationally such as when he ran as National Vice President of the Junior Chamber of Commerce along with Richard Nixon who ran as President, and countless state and local charitable organizations. Throughout her life she engaged in masterful artwork and crafts including dress-making, cake decorating, needlework, porcelain dolls, oil paintings once displayed at the Silas Bronson Library, and many exquisite quilts. Linda would break into song with her beautiful soprano voice to the delight of her family throughout their childhood. She was an excellent cook and baker and was known for her delicious apple pies. Her grandchildren considered her home their second home. Linda was a former member of the Notre Dame Mothers Club, the Ponte Ladies Club, the St. Pius X Church Ladies Guild, the Watertown Arts League, St. Michaels Church charitable organization, and was very active in the Italian Heritage Club which held annual festivals in Waterbury for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Linda is survived by her sons, Frank Stolfi and his wife Peggy (Iacovella) of Glastonbury, Stuart Stolfi and his wife Nancy (Lane) Stolfi (deceased) of Wolcott, and daughter, June (Stolfi) Sanford and her husband Jerald Sanford (deceased), and her fianc Richard Eberle of Wolcott; her grandchildren, Shelley Stolfi of Lubec, ME, Michael Stolfi and his wife Erin Stolfi of Wolcott, Matthew Sanford and his wife Ellen Shepard of Watertown, Sarah Stolfi of Glastonbury, Lindsey (Sanford) LaPrade and her husband Dean LaPrade of Prospect, Laura Stolfi of NY, NY and Melissa Stolfi of NY, NY; and five great grandchildren.
