LINDA M. SAMIDE Animal Enthusiast HAMDEN ~ Linda M. Samide, 45 of Hamden passed away on Friday, May 21st in Carroll, N.H. She was the wife of Michelle Tavano. Linda was born May 18, 1965 in Ridgewood, NY, daughter of Carole (Umland) Samide and the late Gunther Samide. She was a Police Officer and had been employed by the city of West Haven for the past 22 years. Linda was proud of her Austrian German heritage and enjoyed traveling. She was an animal enthusiast and had been devoted to her German Shepherds. She enjoyed fine dining and music. Linda was known as a kind hearted and generous person. Besides her wife, Michelle of Hamden and her mother, Carole of Waterbury, she leaves her brother, Jeffrey Samide and his wife, Cheryl of Middlebury, her sister, Lisa Freer of Waterbury, her nephew, Christopher Sidell of Austin, TX, several aunts, uncles and many friends. Linda also leaves Michelles nephews, Trevor and Nicolas Tavano and niece, Samantha Tavano. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 pm Thursday at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott with burial following at 1 pm at Woodtick Cemetery.
