WOLCOTT- Mr. Leo Valcourt, 84, passed away on Friday Feb 2nd at St. Marys Hospital.
Leo was born in Packington P.Q. Canada on July 16, 1939. He was one of the nine children of the late Leon and Glorieuse (Lebel) Valcourt. They were: Eudore (dec) and his wife Bibiane, Camille (dec) and his wife Marie Ange, Collette (dec) and her husband Andre (dec), Marie Claire and her husband Joel (dec), Gertrude and her husband Antoine (dec), Francois and his wife Claudette, Rosaire and his wife Pauline, and Emilien and his wife Berangere.
At the age of 18, he moved to the Waterbury area and began working in construction. He was the owner of Valcourt Construction and built many houses in the area. He loved to go hunting and fishing, especially on trips back to Canada. He attended St. Leo The Great Church.
For over 28 years he has been a devoted husband of Louisette (Bedard) Bolduc and a father to her daughter Cathy Saucier. He was "Papa" to Gabrielle Saucier, Alaina and Robert Colasanto all of Wolcott. He also leaves his godchild Karen Valcourt, and several nieces and nephews. He will also be deeply missed by Louisettes family including her mother Clarisse Bolduc, nine siblings and many nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral Mass on Saturday, Feb 10th at 11 AM in St. Leo Church/Mary Mother of the Church Parish 13 Bentwood Dr. in Waterbury.
