IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Laurie
Andrade
December 17, 1930 – June 13, 2025
It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce our family matriarch Laurie (Corvo) Andrade has gone to be with the Lord in whom she was deeply faithful. She joins her husband Acacio "Andy" Andrade to whom she was married for 62 years.
Born in Waterbury on December 17, 1930, Laurie was the daughter of the late Anthony and Jennie (Cirelli) Corvo. She graduated from Waterbury Catholic High School, St. Mary's School of Nursing and Naugatuck Valley Community College. Her nursing career at St. Mary's Hospital spanned an impressive 40 years. She was a devoted nurse who went above and beyond to provide the best care and support to all her patients.
In 1957, Laurie and Andy built their home and raised their five daughters in Wolcott. Laurie remained in her family home until the time of her passing. They were parishioners of St. Pius X Church where Laurie was actively involved with the Ladies Guild and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the St. Mary's Alumni Association. Laurie was a devout Catholic, who lived her life according to the will of God. She leaves behind many treasured friends from the St. Pius Parish Community.
One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren cherishing her visits with them. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, and GiGi.
Left to carry on her loving legacy, are her daughters Monica Melluzzo, Myra Januska, Mary and her husband Jeffrey Boisvert, Martine and her husband Javier Lopez, Maurine Mitnick and her husband David Williams, her brother Herbert and his wife Lillian Corvo, her nine grandchildren, Jennifer (Jason) Pawloski, Robert Mastroianni, Jessica (Alex) Brooks, Laurie (Bryan) Finke, Matthew (Cristina) Boisvert, Siarah Januska, Samantha Boisvert, Alex Lopez, and Nathan Mitnick. Nine great grandchildren, Mia, Ellie, Carly, Xander, Andie, Alina, Calen, Eva, and Lia. Several nieces and nephews. She will also be deeply missed by her cousins Frank Guerrera, Lucille Fusco and her special friend Lisa Calo. In addition to her husband, Laurie was predeceased by her brother A. Philip Corvo.
