LAURETTE GELINAS WATERBURY ~ Laurette (Tremblay) Gelinas, 90, passed away on April 26th at Rosegarden Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Armand Gelinas. Mrs. Gelinas was born September 18, 1918 in Shawinigan Falls, P.Q., Canada, daughter of the late Joseph and Eleonore (Therrien) Tremblay. She retired from Mattatuck Mfg. Co. and was a communicant of the Shrine of St. Anne. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She leaves her sons, Roger Gelinas of Lancaster, S.C. and Andre Gelinas of Middlebury, her sister Gabrielle Bellemare of Shawinigan, P.Q., Canada, her brothers, Roger Tremblay of Shawinigan, P.Q., Canada, Lucien Tremblay and his wife, Lucille of Waterbury, and Armand (Andre) Tremblay of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, her sister-in-law, Alice Gelinas, 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Jacques. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 1st at 10:30 am at the Shrine of St. Anne, 515 South Main St., Waterbury. Family and friends are asked to gather at the church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
