With broken hearts we announce the passing of the matriarch of our family Laura M. (Raymond) Monti on Friday August 22, 2025, at our home in Watertown at the age of 89. Laura was the wife of the late Charles A. Monti and mother of the late Anthony Monti.

Born in Island Falls, ME on September 22, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Claudia (King) Raymond. She retired from Airpax, where she worked for over 15 years. She was a parishioner of St. Anne Church and the Basilica of The Immaculate Conception in Waterbury. Most of all Laura loved her family, cooking dinners on Sunday, going on family vacations and crocheting afghans for everyone in the family.

Left to carry on her loving legacy are her daughter Diane and her husband Larry Carpentier with whom she resided and was "Memere" to Thomas and his wife Kristina Carpentier, Charla and her husband Robert Vincent, "Great Memere" to Ella Marie Robert-Carpentier, Amelia Carpentier, Gillianna Vincent and Chloe Vincent, her brother Patrick Raymond Jr and his wife Sandra, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and son, Laura was predeceased by her sisters Anita Plourde Rose Normandy and her brother Bert Raymond.

Laura's life will be celebrated on Wednesday August 27, 2025 beginning with calling hours from 11 to 1 PM at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd in Wolcott to The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Waterbury for Mass at 1:30 PM followed by burial in All Saints Cemetery in Waterbury.
