KENNETH H. SEARLES, SR. WATERBURY ~ Kenneth H. Searles, Sr., 67, of Waterbury passed away on Friday, April 16th at St. Marys Hospital. He was the husband of Annette (Bunker) Searles. Mr. Searles was born February 24, 1943 in Waterbury, son of the late Arnold and Pearl (Cormier) Searles. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and had been employed at Uniroyal for several years. He enjoyed fishing and was an amateur wood carver and pencil sketcher. Kens family was his focus and he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Besides his wife, Annette of 44 years, he leaves his son, Kenneth H. Searles, Jr. of Waterbury and his fiance, Michele Springer, his daughter, Heidi Izzi and her husband, Domenic of Waterbury, his brothers, Vernall of Bethlehem and Lawrence of Waterbury, his sister, Sandra Derouin of Waterbury, and his grandchildren, Rebecca and Anthony. A gathering will be held on Thursday from 5 to 8 pm at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott with a funeral service at 7:30 pm with Rev. Sue Strachan officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
