Wolcott - June Farina, 77, formerly of Wolcott, CT and Meredith, NH, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019 after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Michael Anthony Farina, Sr. having been married for 60 years. June is survived by her children and their spouses: Michelle Barriger and husband John; Theresa Bessette and husband Joseph; Michael Farina, Jr. and wife Laura; Lisa Melaragno and husband Enrico; Donna DiCesare and husband Anthony; and Richard Farina and wife Linda. Also left behind are her three sisters, Dorothy Jane Conway; Viola Pelletier; and Mary Elizabeth Anelkis, and 22 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Tina Tranberg; her mom, Dorothy Schneider; and her dad, Richard Brundage. June was a devoted mother and wife, and was loved dearly by her friends and family alike. She walked daily with the Lord and lived a life that showed her devotion. She was a past member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 6, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road, Wolcott. A funeral home service will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. Directly following the service will be a private burial for immediate family only at Woodtick Cemetery.
