PLAINVILLE ~ Julie J. (Kelly) Marfia, 38, of Plainville passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at The Hospital of Central Connecticut. She was the loving wife of Robert Marfia.
Julie was born March 6, 1974 in Waterbury, daughter of John and Christine (Wester) Kelly, Jr. She was a wonderful caregiver and was employed as a Registered Nurse, Case Manager at the Hebrew Community Services in West Hartford. She was a member of the Registered Nurses Association. Julie was a dedicated pool player and was a member of the American Pool Player Association. She competed with the amateur team for the National Championships. She was active in Pack 49 of the Boy Scouts and an assistant coach for local Baseball teams. Julie was dedicated to her family, especially her husband, Robert and her sons, Jonathan and Christian.
Besides her husband, Robert of 8 years, she leaves her sons, Jonathan and Christian, her step-son, Robert M. Marfia, her parents, John and Christine Kelly, Jr. of Wolcott, her paternal grandmother, Linda Rice and step grandfather, James E. Rice of St. Cloud, Fl, several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Lisa Ann.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday at 10 am at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm.
