Waterbury Joyce A. Fisher, 84, of Waterbury, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at St. Marys Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Leroy Fisher. Joyce was born on April 2, 1935 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Earl and Beatrice (Mahoney) Wellspeak. Joyce loved spending time with her family and friends; especially her friend and roommate, Beth Cook. She also enjoyed shopping with her granddaughter Jenn, playing games, and loved her coffee and cigarettes. She is survived by her children. Sandy Jakubczyk and her husband Joseph, Thomas Fisher and his wife Donna, Joyce Hotchkiss Dubick and her husband Charles, Mary Bucko and her husband Matthew, Michael Fisher and his wife Carmen, and Kimberly Heroux; 23 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren with 3 more on the way; her sister Harriet Ney; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Theresa "Bloop" Fisher; and two sisters, Lorraine Rapplyea, and Inaclair Wellspeak. Family and friends may call on Friday, June 28, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. A funeral service will begin at 6:45 P.M.
