Wolcott Mrs. Josephine T. Guerrera, 91, of Wolcott, entered the gates of Heaven Jan, 25, 2022 after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred N. Guerrera. "Jo" was born in Simsbury, CT on July 30 1930 and graduated from Kensington, H.S. She attended St. Marys School of Nursing in Waterbury and worked in pediatrics for a number of years. She later worked at Wolcott View Manor as East Wing Supervisor for 10 years. Jo co-owned and assisted her husband with the Allied Painting Company for 25 years. She loved music, especially Frank Sinatra, played piano, golf, and was an avid reader. Jo was also a great cook and spoke Italian. Jo took pleasure in spending time with family, especially Holiday get togethers. Jo is survived by two children, Domenica Johns and her husband William of Venice, Fl., and Brian Guerrera of Waterbury; five grandchildren, Alan Daversa Guerrera and his husband Anthony of Albrightsville, PA, David Everett and his wife Julie od Madison, WI., Edward Everett and his wife Cynthia of Desmoines, Iowa, Elizabeth Everett of Edgewater, Fl., and Christopher Cocchiola of Mansfield, TX.; 10 great-grandchildren, Olivia Daversa Guerrera, Brittany, Kelsey, Ashley, Felicia, and Hayley Everett, Joseph and Julia DiGiuseppe, and Kyle and Kaitlyn Cocchiola; her daughter-in-law Olga Guerrera of Edgewater, FL.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Alan and Darryl Guerrera. Family and friends may call on Tuesday, Feb 8. 2022 from 9:45 to 10:45 A.M. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. at St. Pius X Church. Burial will follow in the State of Connecticut Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown, CT.
