JOSEPH HUBBARD
Joe M. Hubbard, of Manchester, N.H. passed away on Jan. 25, 2012 after an extremely long (nearly 10 years) and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born Nov. 23, 1970 in Waterbury, CT. son of Joe and Kay (Betts) Hubbard of Wolcott.
He is survived by his parents; his brother Jim and his wife, Liz, of Wolcott, CT.; and Joes favorite nephew, Josh "J-Man"; his uncle, Dick Betts, of South Carolina; his aunt , Diane Masi and her husband, Bob, of Hampstead, N.C.; his aunt, Bert McLean and her husband, George, of Stafford Springs, CT.; and numerous cousins.
Joe was a pharmaceutical rep with Astra-Zeneca for many years. Even while battling cancer, he was one of the top reps for the company for many years, until he took early retirement.
Joe set an real-life example with his courage, outstanding sense of humor and ability to
connect with people. Although he was a role model and a hero to everyone, he was extremely modest and could never understand why he was looked up to by all.
The family wishes to give their utmost thanks to Dr. Peter Enzinger, Nurse Mary Rapp, and all the other staff at Dana Farber for their outstanding treatment of Joe over the years.
