JOSEPH S. KUNICKI Wolcott: Joseph Stanley Kunicki, 81, of Wolcott, died Monday, March 2nd atSt. Marys Hospital. Mr. Kunicki was born January 8, 1928 in Waterbury, son of the late Kuzma and Anastasia (Trojanowski) Kunicki. He was a U S Army Air Force veteran having served during WWII. He retired in 1991 from Pratt & Whitney after twenty seven years of service. He was a member of the Wolcott Seniors Association, the Charles Rietdyke Senior Center and attended St. Pius X Church. Joe loved airplanes and enjoyed puzzles. He was survived by his son David Kunicki and his wife Rebekah of Pennsylvania, his daughter Janet Kunicki of Charlton, WV., his brother John Kunicki and his wife Loretta of Wolcott, his two sisters Helen Adomelis of Wolcott and Barbara Birkenberger of Florida, three grandchildren Rachel, Joshua and Sanya, and six nieces. He is also survived by his fiance Mary E. (Manthey) Secula, whom he made his home in Wolcott. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, March 7 at 10:00 am at St. Pius X Church, 517 Woodtick Road, Wolcott. Family and friends are asked to gather at the church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 7pm at the Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott.
