WATERTOWN ~ Joseph Gerard "Jerry" Deziel, 75, of Watertown passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by his family.
Jerry was born February 18, 1937 in Waterbury, son of the late Henri and Rose (Berthiaume) Deziel. He was the owner of 3D Sales & Service and although retired from his business, he still had a love for classic autos and repairing cars. Jerry was a member of the North American Hunt Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He loved a challenging game of Sudoku. He was a former parishioner of the Shrine of St. Anne.
He leaves his children, Gerard Joseph Deziel, Dolores Bernardi, Carole DeCorso, and Thomas D. Deziel, all of Waterbury, Michelle Diaz of Northfield, Theresa Keith of Pittston, PA and Rose Darst of Torrington, his siblings, Roger and Richard "Kookie" Deziel of Waterbury, Edgar Deziel of Seymour, TN, Paul Deziel of Phenix City, AL, Louise Moreau of Canada, Irene Goode of Waterbury, and Rita Cherry of Phenix City, AL, 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sons, Joseph Gerard Deziel, Jr. and Daniel Thomas Deziel.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday at 6 pm at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 to 7 pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
