ST. PETERSBURG, FL ~ Joseph F. DeNatale, 96, of St. Petersburg, FL and Wolcott passed away on January 7, 2014 at Bayfront Health System. He was the husband of Linda (Perillo) DeNatale. Mr. DeNatale was born December 27, 1917 in Florence, Italy, son of the late Nicola and Amelia (Falcone) DeNatale. He served with the Italian Army during WWII and was a Prisoner of War. He became a U.S. citizen On June 22, 1954. He retired from American Metal Hose after many years of service and attended St. Pius X Church. Besides his wife, Linda of 64 years, he leaves his nieces, Alma Cristiano, Amelia DeNatale, Noreen Mulcahy, and Marita Ferraro, all of Waterbury, and Elda Garafola of Prospect, several grand nieces and nephews, and several great grand nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church, 525 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 11 am. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family. Memorial gifts may be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
