Waterbury ~ Jordan T. Banks, 32, of Waterbury passed away on June 27, 2015 at his home.
He was born August 24, 1982 in Waterbury, son of Glenn Banks and Jacqueline (Bellemare) (Banks) Ciarlelli. He was a graduate of Wolcott High School where he was a star athlete earning the MVP for soccer. He was selected as a State All Star in soccer, and excelled in baseball as a short stop since the age of 6. When Jordan was 12, he was selected for the U.S. All-star team and played in a five game friendship tournament in Cuba. He attended Western Connecticut State University. Jordan loved cars and could be found always working on them to his perfection.
Besides his father of Waterbury and his mother of Shelton, he leaves his brother, Brandan Banks of Myrtle Beach, S.C., his sister, Ashley Schaefer and her husband Ben of Hamden, his Uncles James Bellemare (Vivian) and Robert Bellemare (Felicia), and cousins, Jim, Traci, and Pamela. He was predeceased by his sister, Courtney Banks, his maternal grandparents, Harry and Velma Bellemare, his paternal grandparents, Rosalind and Jacob Banks and his uncle Mark Bellemare.
Jordan was always quick with a smile and ready to help a friend. He had a great love for his family and everyone who knew him loved him. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and his cat Buddy.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9 am from Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott to St. Pius X Church for a funeral mass at 10 am, followed by burial in Woodtick Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm.
