Obituary

Edward M. "Soapy" Wills Wolcott- Edward M. "Soapy" Wills, 86, of Wolcott passed away on Tuesday, April 6th at St. Marys Hospital. He was the loving husband of Wilma (Preston) Wills. "Soapy" was born August 27th, 1923 in Vigo Ohio, son of the late George K. and Alma (Hinson) Wills. He was a US Navy veteran serving during WWII and received the Asiatic-Pacific Medal with one star, the American Area Medal and the Victory Medal. While living in Hillsboro, OH, he was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Elks Lodge, the Eagles Club and the VFW. "Soapy" enjoyed golfing, camping, fishing and playing cards. Retiring from Proctor and Gamble after 30 years of employment, he made his residence in Ft. Meyers Beach, FL, and moved to Wolcott two years ago. Besides his devoted wife, Wilma, of 67 years, he leaves his son, John Wills of Wolcott, his daughter, Joyce Breeze, and her husband, Gary, of Waynesville Ohio, and his grandson Jeremy Wills of Wolcott. Burial services will be held in New Vienna, Ohio. There are no calling hours. Woodtick Memorial has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VFW, Post 9094, 1000 West Main Street, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
