JOHN J. THERIAULT, JR.
WOLCOTT ~ John J. Theriault, Jr., 47 of Wolcott passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 16th at his home. He was the husband of Judi (Clinton) Theriault.
John was born July 10, 1962 in Waterbury, son of Rose Ellen (Derouin) Theriault and the late John J. Theriault, Sr. From 1979 ~ 1983, he served in the United States Marine Corps as Corporal. He retired from the Waterbury Fire Department on February 14, 2002 as Fire Drive with Engine 10. He also ran a part time business, Built Rite Carpentry, which he retired from in 2002. Johns life revolved around his wife and children. He founded and was a past Captain of the Venice team of the Greater Waterbury Pool League. He enjoyed photography, woodworking and gourmet cooking.
Besides his wife, Judi of 13 years, he leaves his mother of Oakville, his children, Elizabeth Theriault of Washington, D.C., Jocelyn, Jessica, Jacqueline, and Jolene Theriault of Wolcott, his maternal grandmother, Agatha Bridgette Derouin of Waterbury, his sisters, Rose Marie Theriault and Charmagne Brooks of Waterbury, Aggie Theriault of Oakville, Jean Venditti and Ann Spartas of Wolcott, Carol Korn of Harwinton, and Elizabeth Hayden of Enfield, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9:30 at St. Maria Goretti Church, 1300 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Friends are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Woodtick Cemetery. Family and friends may call at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott on Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm.
