JOHN E. MERCIER, SR. OAKVILLE ~ John E. Mercier, Sr., 50, of Oakville passed away on Sunday, October 25th at Waterbury Hospital. He was the loving husband of Ruth (Demers) Mercier. John was born January 3, 1959 in Waterbury, son of the late Edward J. and Jean (Smith) Mercier. He was currently employed at Connecticut Spring & Stamping Co. John enjoyed snowmobiling and motorcycling as well as repairing cars and his dune buggy. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. Besides his wife, Ruth of 21 years, he leaves his son, John E. Mercier Jr., his daughters, Nicole and Heather Mercier all of Oakville, his sisters, Sandra Caisse of Wolcott, Holly Mercier of Scottsdale, AZ, and Suzanne Mercier of Terryville, his brother Richard Mercier of Waterbury, his granddaughter, Shaylyn and his faithful companion, Bobbles. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
