John Krukowski, 87, passed away Tuesday, March 17 surrounded by his loving family. He was the widow of Lucille (Donnaruma) Krukowski. He was a longtime resident of Cheshire and recently moved to Wolcott.
Born on May 28, 1927, in New Haven, he was the son of the late John and Anna Krukowski. Mr. Krukowski was a communicant of the Church of the Epiphany in Cheshire. He was an Army veteran, stationed in Germany during WWII. He attended the University of Miami and Fairfield University and was employed by Federal Paper Board and Simkins Industries. John was also involved in the Little League and Youth Hockey in New Haven and loved to attend his grandchildrens sporting and school events.
John is survived by his daughter Anne Lagasse and her husband, Steve; his son Michael Krukowski and his wife, Dawn; his grandchildren, who were the lights of his life, Jaclyn and David Krukowski, and Kim and Max Lagasse, and his sister Florence Krukowski. He is also predeceased by his brother Edmund.
Arrangements: A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, March 21 at The Church of the Epiphany, 1750 Huckins Road, Cheshire at 11 a.m. Friends and family are asked to meet at church. Burial will be held privately.
