Waterbury John Joseph Hickey, Jr., 89, of Waterbury passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 17, 2018. He was the husband of Barbara (Rupenski) Hickey. John was born on September 20, 1928 in Waterbury, son of the late John J. Hickey, Sr., and Mary (Bergin) Hickey. John served honorably and proudly in the United States Marine Corps. Besides his wife, John is survived by two sons, Kevin Hickey and Wayne Hickey; his daughter, Karen Kraft; four grandchildren, Tracy Cyr, Matthew Kraft, Timothy Kraft and Jason Hickey; and four great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Kraft, Jessica Cyr, Emily Cyr, and Tristan Hickey. Family and friends may call on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. Burial will follow in Woodtick Cemetery.
