Joan (Knox) Patterson, 90, passed peacefully at her home in Wolcott on Saturday April 18th. She was the beloved wife of Willard I. Patterson Sr. for the last 70 years.

Born on March 7, 1936, Joan was the daughter of the late Andrew and Helen (Brammer) Knox. Joan and Willard built their home and lived in Wolcott for the past seventy years.

Joan was a selfless person who volunteered and generously donated to many charities. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, canning, cooking, reading, walks outdoors and was devoted to her family.

In addition to her husband Willard, left to cherish her memory and carry on her loving legacy are son Williard I. Patterson Jr. and his wife Diane, her daughter Heather Patterson, four grandsons Ryan (Erica) Osborne, Nicholas (Tracy) Osborne, Willard I. Patterson III, Michael A. Patterson, and five great grandchildren Cameron, Dominic, Alyssa, Lucius, and Eleanor Osborne.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Joan’s life at calling hours on Thursday April 30th from 5 to 7 PM at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott. Burial of her cremains will be private and at the convenience of the family.
