Joan (Miller) Lawrence, 91, of Wolcott, CT, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Mulberry Gardens in Plantsville. She was the loving wife of the late Howard "Chick" Lawrence for 48 years until his passing in 2004.

Joan was born on July 18,1934 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Wilson Miller and Mary (Dale) Berthoud. Joan loved to travel with her husband Chick and also enjoyed antiquing and gardening. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Farmingbury Women's Club.

Left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Kevin and his wife Irene Lawrence, Howard "Chip" and his wife France Lawrence and Russell and his wife Carol Lawrence, her four grandchildren, Derrick Lawrence, Kevin Lawrence, Nicholas Lawrence and Joseph Lawrence, her great-grandson Felix Lawrence, her daughter-in-law Theresa Lawrence, her sister Marilyn Miller Oals, and three nieces. Besides her husband Howard "Chick", she was predeceased by her son Keith Lawrence and her brother, Wilson Miller.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday October 30, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. A Funeral Service will be on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Woodtick Memorial. Burial will follow at Edgewood Cemetery.
