Joan C. Garner, 85, of Wolcott, passed away on July 14 at Wolcott View Manor. She was the wife of the late Wayne D. Gardner, Sr. Joan was born on June 15, 1930 in Fall River, MA to Louis and Catherine (Soizck) Cloutier. She retired in 1994 to help raise her grandchildren. Mrs. Gardner loved to read and watch ice skating and tennis on TV. Joan is survived by her son, Robert Gardner, and his wife Leeann, of Wolcott; her 8 grandchildren; and her 7 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Wayne Gardner, of Oregon; and her daughter Rhonda Shanfeld, of Bristol. Calling hours will be held at Wolcott Congregational Church, 185 Center St., Wolcott from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, July 24, concluding with a service.
