Obituary

Jeffrey Adam Reopelle In Loving Memory June 12, 1987 - August 22, 2023 Jeffrey passed peacefully on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, with many loved ones by his side at Yale New Haven Hospital. He succumbed to a brain injury after suffering from a cardiac arrest on Saturday night. His sudden departure leaves a hole in our hearts that will be difficult to fill. However, like a garden, grief is fertile, and his spirit will grow on. Jeff had a special gift of encouraging us to really live. He could make tedious things fun and heavy things lighter just by being there, by being him. He never held back and had a knack for telling it like it is, he always told the truth even if it wasnt what you wanted to hear. He was stubborn, hardworking, kind-hearted, thoughtful and effortlessly stylish. He loved animals (especially his buddy Cobain), fishing, skateboarding, dirt bikes and poker. Always the one making us laugh, he loved a good prank and was quick to the draw with his witty sense of humor. Jeff lived life on his own terms, to the fullest and with intent and purpose. He will be remembered for his big beautiful smile, for the way he lit up the room when he walked in. He had a mighty spark and was a beacon to many. Anyone who knew him knew what a big heart he had. Jeffrey made us all better people! Jeff gave in death as he gave in life, his final act of generosity was to help heal and save lives. Jeff shared with many in need, as a multiple organ donor. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 27th from 2-4PM at the West River Hall located at 37 Orlando Street, in West Haven, CT. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in his memory to the East Haven Animal Shelter. Jeff is survived by his mother, Nancy Carolus, his father, Joseph Reopelle, his wife Dalia Gaudiano, his siblings: Jason Reopelle and his wife Charity Reopelle, Kelly Demko and her husband John Paul Demko, Lindsay Reopelle and her husband Joseph LaRose and James Reopelle. He also leaves behind his beloved nieces and nephews: Robbie Chamberlin, Michael Reopelle, Kyler Chamberlin, Roman Chamberlin, Joey Reopelle, Payton Demko, Quinn Demko, Banya LaRose, Jesse Reopelle, Stryder LaRose, and Eiley Chamberlin. Along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his grandparents Howard and Dolores Reopelle and Anne and Robert Carolus. --
