Bristol - Mr. Jeffrey P. Beals, Sr, died on Sunday morning, August 16, at Sheridan Woods in Bristol. He was the husband of Rosalie (DiDonato) Beals. Mr. Beals was born January 6, 1938 in Bristol, son of the late Douglas A. and Olive (Palmer) Beals, Sr. Raised in Bristol he attended local schools and was the owner of Memory Motors in Bristol, where he specialized in antique automobiles. For many years he was involved in drag racing and was a motorcycle enthusiast. He was a member of the Bristol Baptist Church for over 50 years. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Jodie LaForge of FL, Barbara Greco of Naugatuck and Amy Sedgwick and her husband Michael of Thomaston; four grandchildren, Mark and Matthew LaForge and Abigail and Brennan Sedgwick; his brother, Douglas A. Beals, Jr and his wife Joan of FL; his brother-in-laws, and sister-in- law, Edward and Ruth Donato, William Hubert, Sr, David Dubay and Raymond Camere; his dear friend, Dwight Lewis and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Jeffrey P. "JJ" Beals, Jr and his son-in-law, Robby LaForge. Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 20, at 12:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott. Calling hours will be held on Thursday morning from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. Burial is private.
