Obituary

We sadly announce the passing of Jeanette (Mastronato) Crowe, 86, on Monday December 1, 2025, after a long courageous battle with MS, which she fought with incredible strength and grace. She was the wife of the late Thomas (Bob) Crowe.

Born in Waterbury on March 7, 1939, Jeanette was the daughter of the late John and Yvonne (Lizotte) Mastronato. She graduated from Wilby High School and was the valedictorian of her class and secretary of the Student Council. She lived in Maryland and Texas where Bob was stationed in the Army. After returning to Connecticut, she worked for Waterbury Savings Bank and Centerbank, retiring after over thirty years in the industry. She resided for most of her life in the Bunker Hill section of Waterbury. She was a devout Catholic, who found strength and peace in attending weekly rosary prayer. Some of her favorite memories were those made on Cape Cod, and she enjoyed watching Lifetime movies and classic television shows, and spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her memory and carry on her loving legacy are her children, Suzanne Murdick of Burlington, Mark and his wife Catherine Crowe of Torrington, her six grandchildren Ashley Crowe, Paige (John) Trout, Madison (Alexander) Daigle, Brooklyn Murdick, Mark Crowe Jr., Thomas Crowe, her great-granddaughter Prudence Trout, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Lorraine Buonocore.

Jeanette's family is grateful for all of the caregivers over the years at both Hughes Health and Avon Health, especially Shawnte, Esther, Jessie, Amy, Rachel, Kim, Kenya, and Angela. Special thanks go to Melissa who consistently went above and beyond for Jeanette.
