TERRYVILLE ~ James M. Pina, Jr., 52, of Terryville passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Bristol Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Christina (Hamel) Pina.
James was born February 2, 1960 in Waterbury, son of Maria Lopes and the late James M. Pina, Sr. He served with the U.S. Air Force from 1979 to 1994. Prior to his illness, he had been employed at the Academy of Driving. He was a volunteer for Skye Cable where he enjoyed making the Public Service Announcements. He spent time on his computer and enjoyed making films for everyone to enjoy. James was a family man and was very proud to attend his daughter, Tracies graduation from Quinnipiac School of Nursing. He was a member of the Cape Verdean Social Club.
Besides his mother Maria of Waterbury and his wife, Christina of 33 years, he leaves his daughter, Tracie Pina of Waterbury, his brothers, Antonio Pina, Sr. and Robert Pina, both of Waterbury and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 11 am to 1 pm at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Burial will at the convenience of the family.
