Obituary

Wolcott - Mr. James J. Martin, 74, passed away on Saturday morning, September 17, at his home. He was the husband of Rina (Beaulieu) Martin. Mr. Martin was born July 21, 1942 in Caribou, Maine, son of the late Nelson and Lorraine (Martin) Martin. He was the owner of Martin Power Equipment for many years. He was a former member of the Wolcott Volunteer Fire Department Company 2, was a member of the Moose Lodge in Bristol and had served as Governor in 1985 -1986 and was a long time member of the Bristol Fish and Game Club. In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Kevin Martin and Jackie O'Neil of Terryville and Daniel and Shannon Martin of Bristol; three daughters, Diane Martin and Dave Pelletier of Southington, Arline Martin of Waterbury and Dawna and Mark Cavagnaro of S. Windsor; four brothers, Dennis Martin of CA, Albert Martin and Robert Martin both of Bristol, NH and Frank Martin of Waterbury; three sisters, Tina Violet of Van Buren, ME, Rosanna Gendreau of FL and Sharon Webber of MO; 11 grandchildren, Gessica, Tera, Erica, Christopher, Karly, Zachary, Ashley, Emily, Laura, Alan and Jeremy; 3 great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ryleigh and Brodee and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, John and Gailen Martin. Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Monday evening, September 19, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday morning at 10:00 A.M. at Saint Maria Goretti Church. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.
