Mrs. Jacqueline (Bridschge) Bellemare, 83 was called into eternal life by our loving God on Tuesday, October 29, 2013.
Jacqueline was born in Waterbury, CT, on December 11, 1929, and was wed to the late Albert Bellemare on July 2, 1948. Their marriage was blessed with seven children, 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren
She was the daughter of the late Adelaide (Evans) and Fred Bridschge.
Jacqueline leaves her children; Ellen Talbot and her husband Michael of Wolcott, Jacqueline Dawiczyk of Wolcott, William Bellemare of Waterbury, her best friend and devoted caregiver Judith Bellemare of Wolcott, Diane Garafola and her husband Dennis of Wolcott, Lois Bellemare of Hyland Beach, FL and Danny Bellemare and his wife Wendy of Wolcott. Her 13 grandchildren Nicole and Ryan Quinn, and Michael and Dana Talbot, Wendie and Mark Rodriquez, Mark and Ruth Dawiczyk, Craig Dawiczyk, Gina and John Grad, Dennis and Nikole Garafola, Danielle and Christopher Ayotte, Shannon and Michael Mungavin, Crystal John Thorton, Lauren Bellemare, Robert Bellemare and Rachael Bellemare and 12 great grandchildren Cody Dawiczyk, Caitlin, Hannah and Colin Quinn, Alexia and Rylan Talbot, Alyssa Grad, Maximus Garafola, Michael and Belle Mungavin and twins Erin and Emily Thorton.
She also leaves her brothers and sister-in-laws, Edward Bridschge, Ronald and Carol Bridschge, Richard and Jane Bridschge. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Joan Bridschge, her sister-in-law, and husband, Vivian and Gene Shugrue and brother-in-law and wife, Richard and Claire Bellemare.
She will also dearly be missed by dear friends, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving son-in-law Richard Dawiczyk and her brothers George, Robert, John and Raymond Bridschge.
Jacqueline was a member of St. Pius X Church, Wolcott where she served on the Parish Council, many parish committees and at many events throughout her life. Jacqueline was a member of and served as President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer of the St. Pius X Ladies Guild. She always shared her time and talents for the good of others. She volunteered as a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader and Cub Scout Den Mother. Throughout her life she volunteered with The American Heart Association, The American Cancer Society, CPTV, Prevent Blindness Connecticut and The Office of Radio and Television of the Archdiocese of Hartford. She was an Honorary Member of the Junior Womens Club of Wolcott and in 1985 she was awarded the Roseann Barratt Award for outstanding community volunteerism. She supported many charitable organizations and causes.
Funeral services will be held on Monday November 4, 2013 at 8:30a.m at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road, Wolcott, to St. Pius X Church, 525 Woodtick Road, Wolcott, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00. Burial will immediately follow in Woodtick Cemetery. Friends may call the funeral home from 3:00 to 7:00pm on Sunday November 3rd.
