Wolcott - Irene Barre passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family and friends on July 17, 2018 after a short illness. She was 92 years old and proud of it! She was the daughter of Roseanne (Hebert) and Anatole Barre. Irene was predeceased by her sister Doris Morea and brother-in-law Andrew Morea. More than anything, she enjoyed her friends and their families. She loved to travel and had a bit of a mischievous sense of humor. She was always upbeat and never complained, even as she progressed through her illness. She believed she had a good and full life. She was always grateful. Irene was a gift to all who knew her. Irene was a timekeeper at Robert Shaw and AirPax Manufacturing in Cheshire. Special thanks must be given to her aide Luz who cared for her over the last few years. They had a very special bond and Irene adored her. Thank you to The Hartford Healthcare at Home Hope and Hospice Team who helped us achieve our goal of keeping Irene in her home as she wished.
